I recently came across a term called “God’s Economy” and it is everything you think it would be – give more than you take, go last even when you have the opportunity to go first, help those who cannot repay you, etc. As a Christian, I would tell you that I practice all of these; except I realized a few weeks ago that I often do these when it is easy, convenient, scheduled into my day or my idea. Let me explain….
At the end of January, I was preparing for my first February blog and launch of care packages (which I was very excited for!). The night before the post went live, I felt God putting on my heart to donate the profits of the care packages to Vanessa Bryant’s organization. In full transparency, I did not really want to – I do not watch sports and personally believed there were plenty of other places to give. Selfishly, I just got my little shop up and running and was hoping to start “paying myself back” with the profits I started earning. By morning, the feeling was still there, stronger than ever, and I realized this blog, Bible Studies and shop are all a gift from God to help me heal. It is not for me to “keep”; it is made for me to give away. This is how God has been working in my life and I am so thankful He challenges me to be a better person daily!
While the initial steps of obeying when hearing from God can be challenging, the feeling afterwards is amazingly great. Last week, we made our donation to Mamba on Three after selling-out of care packages (thank you to all who ordered one!). Now, and for the remainder of February, all profits will be donated towards El Camino Ministries and an upcoming mission trip to Peru at the end of the month. There is not an Item of the Week this time; instead, below are the mission statements and links to the two organizations we are showing love and donating our profits to in February. If you would like to order something from the shop that brings you (or others) joy, please know it is going to a good cause. Love – Nancy

Mamba on Three Organization – The MambaOnThree Fund was created to honor Team Mamba’s mantra, “Mamba on Three.” It’s with that customary chant for togetherness, sisterhood and the ability to take on every challenge that this Fund was named.
