Friends

This week has been so special.  It started with a chai latte (my favorite), overlooking the ocean and a great conversation with a wonderful friend from high school.  My family was here for our annual beach house week – the theme this year was “Friends”.  We had adorable matching shirts (see photo below) and fun days at the beach. I was also able to squeeze in a fabulous lunch with a dear friend I have known for 13 years.  The conversations were uplifting, encouraging and dreamy.  Yes, I just said, dreamy ☺  There’s nothing better than sharing your dreams, goals and next steps with friends who are rooting for you!

This past spring, my Bible Study group read Lisa-Jo Baker’s book, “We Saved You a Seat:  Finding and Keeping Lasting Friendships”.  Sometimes you forget how much you need friendship until you hit a dip in your life.  Building up a solid tribe of friends has been a beautiful part of my past year.  Thank you to all of YOU, my friends, who have loved on me while I walk through my valley.  I thank God for you daily!

August 1^st is National Girlfriend’s Day and I am so excited to celebrate the entire month of August with the friends in my life.  I’ll be posting each week of the different “national days” along with photos of the sweet friends God has placed in my life.  The link to the national days for August is below – it is fun to see all the ways to celebrate each day.  I hope you will find time this week to celebrate the wonderful friendships in your life.
