I love beautiful moments – especially in the midst of struggle. They seem extra sweet! I have been working through The Artist’s Way – a book designed to bring out creativity in each of us. It goes much deeper than that but it is the best I can sum up in a couple words. A few weeks ago, as a fun challenge, I decided it would be a great idea to revamp my website. As the holiday decor was being put away, I thought it would be amazing to create more of a relaxed, hygge, coastal style both in my home and on-line. One which evokes a feel of Santorini – a favorite vacation spot of ours.
What ended up was a website with a completely black screen. It was frustrating to say the least – heart breaking at most. An afternoon intended for joyful creation was soon a disaster and had me questioning if I should even have a website. With the help of an on-line community, a bit of patience and a few You-Tube videos, the site is fixed and looking oh-so Coastal Santorini style.
On a small, but important scale, this failure turned success brought such a joy and sense of accomplishment. I am slowly ordering more Mud Pie items that match the feel of the site and my home. My hope is that if you are in the midst of struggle right now, you will continue to believe in yourself, your abilities and have a bit of patience and faith. Hope you enjoy the new site, a few new items in the shop and join in one of the Bible Studies!
Inspiration/Resources:
The Little Book of Hygge – an interesting and inspiring read on Danish culture and why Denmark is always rated one of the happiest countries year after year.
Forgiving What You Can’t Forgive – a new Bible Study beginning January 19th. I’m overlapping two studies this month, but Lysa is SO good that I couldn’t pass it up. This study has the opportunity to be life-changing. Hope you will join in!
Down to Earth with Zac Efron – a new(ish) Netflix Documentary. I binge watched it in one weekend and love seeing how people in other countries live sustainably.
Psalm 23 – these 6 verses in this small chapter are a life-line during hard times.
