I bet you’re hoping this post is about mimosas. That would make two of us. Why does this year feel bottomless? My hope is when we begin to feel like there is no end in sight it would motivate us to make changes (good changes). I’m pretty sure back in March we all thought we would be on pause for 2 weeks. Welcome to month 7 and the longest pause in history. Boy has it brought out the best and the worst in our country. Or better said, we have allowed it to bring out the best and worst in ourselves.
I’ve had a few bottomless moments this past week; along with realizing it is time to say goodbye to things in order to make room for new adventures. Being on pause has really allowed me to see what is not working in my life and what I keep holding onto because I feel like “I’m supposed to”. It feels this is the “gift” I am supposed to open during 2020. As Bob Goff says in his new book Dream Big – “you can’t heal what you don’t feel”. So my friends, I’m feeling the pain, letting a few things go and moving on.
In true Bob fashion the first thing I’m letting go is my house. We (Mike and I – not Bob and I) knew it was time to move onto the next chapter. Our home and neighborhood has held wonderful memories and it was perfect for raising our family. Our girls both have new homes this year and it is time for us to get a fresh start as well. I hope you’ll follow me on Instagram as I will be revealing the new home and all the fun decor projects this upcoming weekend.
