I am really missing the luxury of travel lately. I know many of you are too. Travel is special as it takes you to a new or familiar place without all of the drama of that place. We go in search of the beauty or uniqueness of cities and places and are able to look past the issues because when we are on vacation they do not effect us like they do in our everyday lives. Travel gives us a reprieve from the issues and stresses of day-to-day life for an extended amount of time. Can I get an Amen!?
When we moved into our new home the previous owner had photos of plants and flowers in the entryway. This week we decided to replace them with all of the fun and memorable places we have traveled as a family. A special way to remember good times and the different places we have been able to visit over the years. I could not tell you the politics of most of the places on the wall; but what I can tell you is how I felt when I visited them – joy all over the spectrum!
As we go forward this week, may we remember Maya Angelou’s beautiful quote – “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I am hoping my posts and words, even during this political season, will leave you feeling only love from me. If not – call me out! :). I hope you enjoy the latest entryway project and it inspires you to think back on all that brings you joy!
