It’s Tuesday and I just returned from a wonderful trip with a couple special girlfriends in Napa. I love the feeling of returning home after being away on vacation – it feels inspiring and energizing. It also feels like a good time to start eating right (after eating my way through an entire town). I am not talking about dieting – we have all been through too many of those – but more eating for health and to feel great.
In efforts to eat healthier, I am loving my new garden, cut out red meat entirely and stopped buying soda. The one place I struggle with eating right is stress – I love to eat sugar when stressed. Recently, I came across a Bible plan that addresses rewiring your brain and renewing your mind (Bible app – Plan “Winning the War in Your Mind” – Day 4). It encourages us to use scripture to write a new pathway to get us out of the negative trenches in our minds. Below is my new “pathway declaration” that I will be using to help eat less when feeling stressed. You are welcome to use it too or shoot me an email at heynancy@nancydeanne.com with what you need a positive verse for and I’ll email some your way!
“I am created perfectly and greatly loved by God, who designed me and knows me intimately. I am not reliant on food to cure or soothe my worries as I know God will supply all my needs and cares for me deeply. I am able to confidently choose to fuel my body with foods that energize and fill me with health.”
