It is here – moving day for our youngest daughter. As this is posted, we are moving her into a dorm room to start a new chapter in her life and spread her wings. I am so excited for her and very thankful she is with her older sister for her first year of college. The love I hold for these two girls is so great that I do not know how to put it into words. I think all moms would agree that our children are our hearts in human form.
Last year I found the perfect book that summed up my plan for when my girls were both in college. Prayer. Plain, simple, powerful prayer. The book is actually a children’s book and a great reminder that I have been praying for them all along their journey. It has been my greatest job, privilege and challenge to be the best mom I can possibly be to them. Now it is their time to fly. (They know our nest will always be their safe spot to rest when they need it.)
Many of you are at home with your children, sending some back to school and for many of my mom-friends, you are in the same boat of moving them to college. May I encourage you when you are feeling sad, worried or anxious to pray? I will be right there on my knees with you! Below are some great resources that have helped me in my prayer life. I truly help they are a blessing to you.
